It applies to information we collect through our website at restdayclean.com, our online booking form, phone calls, texts, emails, and our cleaning visits. It is part of our Terms of Service. It does not cover information our independent contractors collect for their own separate businesses, or the websites and apps of other companies we link to.
We do not sell your personal information. We use online advertising tools only as described in Section 5.

- send marketing messages, but only as allowed in Section 5;
- comply with the law, enforce our Terms of Service, and respond to legal requests.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

We may also share information with your consent, or with the person who booked on your behalf (for example, a property manager or family member).
5. Texts, Calls, Email, Cookies, and Analytics
5.1 Text messages. We send service texts about your bookings, such as confirmations, reminders, arrival notices, and receipts, to the number you give us. We send marketing texts only if you separately opt in, and opting in is never required to book. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts or HELP for help.
5.2 Your mobile information. We do not share or sell your mobile phone number, text messaging opt-in, or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the providers who deliver our messages for us.
5.3 Calls. Calls with our office may be recorded for quality and training. We will tell you at the start of a recorded call.
5.4 Email. We send service emails about your bookings and account. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. You will still receive service emails while you are a client.
5.5 Cookies and analytics. Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, how visitors arrived, and whether they submit a form or tap to call. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s Analytics opt-out tool; the site will still work.
5.6 Advertising. We use Google Ads to show our ads and measure whether they lead to bookings or calls. Google may use cookies to show our ads to people who have visited our site. You can control ad personalization in Google’s My Ad Center. We do not run TikTok, Pinterest, or Meta tracking pixels; links to those sites on our pages are share buttons only.
5.7 Do Not Track. Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
6. Security, Entry Codes, and How Long We Keep Information
6.1 How we protect information. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including password-protected and access-limited accounts, payment processing that keeps full card numbers off our systems, and confidentiality agreements with our cleaners. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.
6.2 Entry codes and keys. Entry codes and access instructions are stored in our booking software, not on paper, and are shown only to the cleaners assigned to your job. Keys are labeled with a code, never your name or address, and stored securely. We recommend changing your codes when you stop using our services.
6.3 How long we keep information.
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Door, alarm, and lockbox codes and access instructions | Deleted within 30 days after your recurring service ends |
| Physical keys | Returned or destroyed within 7 days after your recurring service ends |
| Service photos and arrival/departure records | 12 months after the service, longer if needed for an open claim or dispute |
| Call recordings | 12 months |
| Booking, billing, and payment records | 7 years, for tax and accounting |
| Texts and emails | 3 years after your last service |
| Website analytics data | Up to 14 months, under our Google Analytics settings |
We may keep information longer if the law requires it or if it relates to an open claim, dispute, or legal matter.
6.4 Data breaches. If a security breach exposes your personal information, we will notify you and any required authorities as required by Ohio, Michigan, or other applicable law.
7. Your Choices, Children, Changes, and Contact
7.1 Your choices. You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information, except what we must keep for the reasons in Section 6.3;
- stop marketing texts or emails (reply STOP or use the unsubscribe link);
- delete your entry codes or return your keys at any time.
Send requests to restdayhomecleaning@gmail.com or text (567) 806-1450. We will confirm your identity using the contact information on your account and respond within 30 days. We will not charge you or treat you differently for making a request.
7.2 State privacy rights. If you live in a state that gives you additional privacy rights, we will honor them as that state’s law requires.
7.3 Children. Our services and website are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
7.4 Changes. We may update this policy by posting a new version on our website with a new “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will email or text recurring clients at least 30 days before they take effect.
